Russell bodies

Small, discrete, variably sized, spherical, intracytoplasmic, acidophilic, hyaline body's that stain deeply with fuchsin; they occur frequently in plasma cells in chronic inflammation, where they are believed to consist of gamma-globulin.

Synonym: fuchsin bodies.
