deep femoral vein

<anatomy, vein> The vein that accompanies the deep femoral artery, receiving perforating veins from the lateral and posterior aspects of the thigh. It joins the femoral vein in the femoral triangle, usually in common with the medial and lateral circumflex femoral veins.

Synonym: vena profunda femoris.
