mutilating keratoderma

Diffuse keratoderma of the extremities, with the development during childhood of constricting fibrous bands around the middle phalanx of the fingers or toes which may lead to spontaneous amputation; autosomal dominant inheritance.

Synonym: keratoma hereditarium mutilans, Vohwinkel syndrome.
