obturator vein

<anatomy, vein> Formed by the union of tributaries draining the hip joint and the obturator and adductor muscles of the thigh; it enters the pelvis by the obturator canal as venae comitantes of the obturator artery and empties into the internal iliac vein.

Synonym: vena obturatoria.
